Dan's book is wonderful and thoughtfully arranged. I use it for desktop
printed negs on a regular basis. My only suggestion (beyond Dan's Book)
for desktop negs is a warning that the brand/type of ink you use is
important. Just because the ink cart is "made for your printer" doesn't
mean it will be good for negs. The "Darn Good Ink" from Inkjet mall has
been the best for me (printing with UV tubes). As Dan says: the material
you print on is VERY important. I (as Dan suggests) like the Pictorico
best.
You can exchange Mac and PC files, just make sure your save prefferences
are set to include the
"dot three" PC name. Watch out for fonts, if you leave them as editable
type, the other computer (Mac or PC) needs to have the EXACT same fonts
as you. Often best to render the type before sending out a .psd.

in photoshop on a mac, so they can be view and manipulated in photoshop
on a pc, does typing "psd" on the end of the file work?
