I thought I'd pass this on: I've built a pinhole shutter around the Graflex "Speed-I-O-Scope" shutter. I know that a lot of pinholes are just affixed to a box & then covered with black tape, which is removed for the exposure. I wanted to cheat a bit and use my 4x5 & not have to resort to the tape shutter, so I modified the Speed-I-O-Scope to work. Here is a page with my modifications: http://www.speakeasy.org/~jlmoore/speedioscope.htm.
I mention this because I just noticed a couple of these shutters available on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1368084495 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1368083720 The Speed-I-O-Scope is just an Ilex Universal #3 shutter without the f-stops on the face. I know that any shutter that has a "T" or "B" setting can be used for this, but this shutter seems to come up often enough & it is usually inexpensive. I don't have any relationship to the seller... I just think these things are usefull. John Moore Ramona, CA __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Health - Feel better, live better http://health.yahoo.com
