I have particpated in beer swaps online before, and the way we did it was to
create the list, and each individual sent to TWO other people on the list,
in a sort of "round robin" way. That way, each person received something
from two others, and only had to ship two packages.

Is this supposed to be a "swap" or a moving portfolio? If the latter,
everyone could create say three prints (or as many as you want, but plan for
multiple portfolios) and then ship all to one person. The list is divided
into three groups based on location. That person assembles the three
packages and ships to the first three people. Each portfolio keeps
traveling, but only within its geographic area. For instance, maybe one for
Europe, one for Eastern North America, another for Western NA. This would
make the portfolios travel faster, everyone gets to share the expense of
shipping at least once. The only question is what to do with the prints
afterward.

Now if it's truly a swap, where we give prints away, I suggest we borrow
from my beer exchange technique (although we can send to more people if we
want, since prints are easier to ship than beer!<g>).
