Wonderful news! I hope this is a proper forum for posting feedback on the pre-release.
Installed it from the Ubuntu Jaunty PPA in Jaunty 64 bit. On first run, I was able to drag an AVI (XVID MPEG-4, 640x480 at 30fps with Mono ADPCM audio at 44.1KHz) into the clip library, but got an error: GStreamer encountered a general stream error. gstavidemux.c(4163): gst_avi_demux_loop (): /GstPipeline:pipeline0/GstBin:bin0/GnlComposition:gnlcomposition0/GnlSource:gnlsource5/pitivi+elements+singledecodebin+SingleDecodeBin:pitivi+elements+singledecodebin+singledecodebin5/GstAviDemux:avidemux5: streaming stopped, reason not-linked This resulted in no video playing back from the timeline. However, when right-clicking a clip in the library, I was able to play it from there. Since doing this once to one clip, I'm now able to drag all my files of this type to the timeline with no errors, and playback so far is flawless. It seemed as if playing a clip from the library caused playback in the timeline to work, ignoring or fixing the previous error.
