PiTiVi and GStreamer didn't want to render my files (a lot of annoying
"not-negotiated" errors kept appearing, almost no matter what codec I
chose, though sometimes it actually did start encoding -- though in
those cases it always stopped at random places and didn't encode for 8
hours, until I stopped it), so I created a workaround that others might
find useful. Instead of making PiTiVi render my files, I created a
program that converts XPTV files into SMIL files. Then Kino can be used
to render the files into one file.

Well, it's an ugly hack, and converting XPTV to SMIL does not retain all
info. But it works.

I thought that this had already been done, but I couldn't find any
converter anywhere. Which is why I created one.
