Folks, I have set up a PPA for the sole purpose of providing easier access for karmic users to the latest version of pitivi. I give my word that I will not place anything malicious into the repo.
if that is good enough for you, you can find the repo here https://launchpad.net/~rowinggolfer/+archive/pitivi-unstable INSTRUCTIONS to run the latest pitivi. sudo add-apt-repository ppa:rowinggolfer/pitivi-unstable sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install pitivi i would hope to push new packages out twice weekly or more, depending on the number of git commits by the devs. incidentally, If using this version I believe you would be well advised to utilise the g-streamer ppa also. https://launchpad.net/~gstreamer-developers (pitivi should be going into that ppa IMHO - let me know if I can assist in any way) Many thanks to all who have provided us with such a promising video editor.
