Unless you have hardware that simply won't cooperate with a more recent version of the distro. I just updated from Hardy to Intrepid on my eeepc due to needing hardware support which works best in Hardy-Intrepid and wanting to be able to use the latest Banshee and because Straw my feed reader works best in Hardy-Intrepid. Right now I can get that best by installing Intrepid. I wonder how many others are sticking with older versions of distros for hardware or software support reasons?
