I'll get back w/ you next week if that is o.k. I'm on dial-up until sometime next week (hopefully I'll have this worked out tomorrow). Seems that we had a group that had our modem mac address, could work around our Mcafee firewall and our internal router, and was running a little 'network' of their own in our home network. They knew some holes, and as soon as I buttoned up the holes, they opened up new ones. At first, I thought it was a virus. I made them mad, I think, when I started deleting all of their things, so we were having a bit of a war this weekend. I've spent most of my holiday cleaning machines. It wasn't until yesterday morning when I found they were renewing my 'lease' on my IP address from my carrier. I released some additional network protocols and found that they had hijacked my modem. I've called my carrier. I have to call the security office on Monday and tell them what has happened and switch out my modem with my cable company. I spent yesterday cleaning the machines back up. grrrr. I usually spend once a week catching up on all posts... one of those balances things of work, family, life, support, and internet things.
