Hi everyone,

I posted on here a couple of months ago under Trcarroll1, unregistered over the holidays, and discovered I couldn't re-register under same name.
Anyway, I've lived with hyperprolactinemia for almost 20 years and couldn't find drs to treat me because my prolactin was only mildly elevated (44-54 ng range) and no visible tumor by MRI, despite all the symptoms from irregular/absent menses, galactorrhea, headaches, mood swings.  The symptom that effected me the most was the moodiness and uncontrollable anger.  Over the last year I had also developed perimenopause symptoms with major insomnia and hotflashes and I'm 33.
Anyway, quick up-date...Finally found a great Dr with a heart in Redwood City who started me on meds.  I started Dostinex 0.5 mg 2x/week on November 24th.  Normal menses returned after 3rd dose, and within a couple of weeks all of my prolactin related symptoms had completely disappeared.  I went back to my doc last week, and my prolactin was 0.8ng.  Yea!!!  Dr actually halved my meds to 0.25mg 2x/week.  I'm feeling great, with no side effects from the Dostinex.  And most importantly for me, the moodiness and uncontrolled anger are gone.  I got my happy family life back!!!  Anyway, I wish you all could be cured so easily too.  Best of luck!
