Hi Minnie: My hormones are very much askew at this point but my endo is changing them to see if the adjustment will help me feel better. I'm not sure why everything kind of went haywire but he is upping my growth hormone, lowering my estrogen, and switching me from Armour to Synthroid and Cytomel. I have an ENT appt. in a few days to see what will happen with the cyst in the sphenoid sinus. The pituitary cyst is very small (3 mm) and I don't think the endo mentioned that there was calcification. My previous MRI was four years ago and I don't think there was anything in it regarding a cyst. I also have a place in the brain that keeps showing up as a white area of "signal intensity" but nobody ever talks about it. Since the endo is taking a "wait and see" position on the pituitary cyst, I guess I figured that it couldn't be something too bad. I hope that's true! Kathryn

Hi Katheryn, So your endo says you have a pituitary cyst? I know that the cysts are supposed to show up differently with imaging than pituitary tumors. I believe I read that some cycts acually show up with calcifiation on the images. How is your hormonal health? Do they have images to compare the cyst for growth? Yeah, your ENT will remove the sinus cyst (in most cases). It is good to hear from you. I'm sorry to hear about your ill hubby. Send him our best! Minnie
