Hi Goggy,

I am sorry that you're experiencing the awful side effects of glucophage. I just finished my 6 week trial and I saw my doc yesterday and he wants me to stay on it! Thankfully, he is letting me stay at the 500mg I can barely tolerate. His original prescription was 1500mg!

I had another US done yesterday and the tumor/cyst (it's a complicated, septated cyst-both solid and fluid) is still there, though it has basically remained stable, just a lil bigger. My doctor now believes that it could have been there for a year or more. He recommended surgery to remove it and the endometriosis. We decided to watch and wait til I have pain again (usually happens 3-4x/month) til we schedule surgery. It looks like I will have surgery in the next month or so. He has not suggested that it could be cancer, nor has he said it isn't. He is concerned that it has become more complex. I am taking this time and researching the surgery as much as I can. I have already read two books, now I am researching more in-depth online and hopefully will talk with others who have had similar experiences. I really like my doctor, so I am confident in his assessment.

We'll see what happens...

Take care. I hope you won't have to suffer on the glucophage long. You're in my prayers.

Meri
