My new endo put me on cortisone instead of hydrocortisone. He started me off on 25mg. morning and 12,1/2 afternoon. I was on it shortly and found no energy level and reduced it to half. Still no energy. I can't figure out why he did not put me on hydrocortiosne instead. My last endo said the hydrocortisone was more for the adrenal glands. I have had two blood serum test that show I no longer needed the med. for low adrenal gland . My new doctor had me run a second 24 hour urine cortisol test and said it was low. I am always comfused on the test. I start the GHD drug Tuesday and I am hoping it will be an anwser to some energy level. I want to be able to get out of bed again. I wish we could get on the med. without all the blood work because symtoms are what count. It is like getting a transplant, you have to be pretty bad before you can get them and it is the same with pituitary replacement. By the time the test show it you are in pretty bad shape. Lawana
