DJS, I am glad that you decided to actively seek a diagnosis and answers to the questions that have been plaguing you for years. I encourage you to learn all you can about your health and different diseases. It is so important to know what is going on with your body. Who are you seeing @ MGH? You chose a great clinic with very knowledgable and experienced physicians, I am confident that they will be able to help you find your answers. I will be praying for you as you go through the tests and receive your results. Please learn all you can about your condition. I suggest that you keep a health notebook with copies of all your test results, drs notes, and anything else pertaining to your health. I have kept a notebook since April 2002 when I was first diagnosed and it has been so helpful to both myself and my doctors. I get copies of everything and write summaries of each of my appointments so I remember what was said. It has been so easy to refer back to. I encourage every patient with a chronic illness to do the same. I will keep you in my prayers. I am also in the testing stage and have been for the past 2 1/2 years, so I know what you're going through. Please let us know how you're doing and what the doctors tell you. Take care. Meri |
