Hi J-Guy You're not that rare!! My tumor was TSH producing (I believe the statistic is only 1% of pit tumors are) I was having alot of really weird things going on before diagnosis, tons of hair following out, major league headaches, joint pain, frequent urination, unbelievable forgetfulness and feeling like I was "stoned" all the time., My tumor was 3 cm and was removed via transphenodal (thru the nose) surgery. The symptoms were relieved almost immediately. Unfortunately, my tumor was big and they had to take out most of my pituitary gland so that I am steriod dependant for life (Need to take prednisone 2/day as well as synthroid). Good luck. The surgery sounds scary and I know prior to mine I did not want to know anything about what the dr was going to do to me but I feel so much better know than before so that is a good thing!!!
