Hi Ros,
I'm sorry you have a pituitary tumor.  I assume it is a prolactinoma since they are starting you off on dostinex.  Have they checked all your other hormones?  I have been taking dostinex for 4 years.  It brought my prolactin level down from 1200 to the 50s/60s and shrank my tumor from 2.1 to 1.5 cm. I tolerate it very well, but sometimes it takes awhile to get used to.  At first I experienced depression fatigue headachesand weight loss, but my I quicky adjusted.  I hope it works well for you.  Good luck.

Carla,
I have never experienced a strange taste or sensation from the contrast dye that they give during the MRIs that I have had.  The dye is injected into the vein. The only sensation I get is a headache, possibly from the noise in the MRI chamber.  Best of luck, and I hope you get good results.
