I wouldn't think it would actually help his sinuses, but there is a fine line the body has when on hydrocortisone with immunity. It is important to have the dosage just right. Your endocrine specialist understands this. ![]() The nose drop scenario is exactly why we did the nebulizer with my son. It was just so much easier to put on the mask for 15 minutes in the morning and in the evening. He actually liked the treatments as it made him feel so much better! The medication they had him on really helped him. We did this for about a year before he was old enough and better enough for other alternatives.. Every now and then, he'd have a pretty bad attack, and we'd be pulling out the nebulizer. He was old enought to breath in the medication through his mouth by then. By the time he was 10, he was fully on portable inhalers/pills. He continued on the regimen until he was 16, when like.. poof, no more allergies - go figure. ![]() You can take your sons pituitary MRI's to the ENT and he can tell you if there are any malformations, as that MRI will show the sinuses. It is hardest on us when our kids are suffering. Hang in there! You love your son and want the best for him! Minnie |
