I'm a stomach sleeper so sleeping on my back is not ideal for me.  I did sleep those two nights in the hospital on my side with the bed elevated.  This made it more comfortable for me.  But, in the hotel and now at home, I'm able to sleep on my stomach on my flat bed just on my pillow.  It's working well.

The doctors said that sneezing is not recommended but they also realized that it's a reflex and you really can't stop it.  So, they said to sneeze out of my mouth and not my nose as much as possible.  They said that the worst that it can do is break open the incision and that I would have to get my nose repacked to stop the bleeding.  So....... =) Sneezing isn't the end of the world but I'm going to try to avoid it.

My nose is not sore, but I'm trying really hard not to get bumped by my dog and cats.  I'm not rubbing it but I can wipe it with tissues and stuff.  I'm not allowed to blow my nose for awhile.  I'm assuming 3-4 weeks.  My nose is getting a little chapped from all the wiping some I'm trying to wear my mustache gauze holder thingie when I'm at home.  That just catches the drainage and I don't have to wipe.
I'm still very congested and I'm not sure if that is normal or not.  The doctors said it wasn't abnormal.  They said it could last 2 weeks or so.  I'm so ready to breathe and taste and smell!!!

I know what you mean about the doctors.  =)  It's always nice to get the real answers from a fellow patient.
