I looked it up! I am so proud of myself for remembering this - lol. In my book, the author, Dr. Sarne (old book) talks about synthetic L-T4 here (sodium levothyroxine) The half-life of the absorbed T4 is six to nine days. Once a steady state is achieved, infestion of the daily dose and even an occasional missed dose does not alter the serum concentrations of T4, T3 or TSH. I don't think your endo is helping you with that particular dosing idea. Minnie |
