Nervous and Scared

Hi Judy, I'm going through the same thing. Mine returned after a bit over one year after the first surgery. I'm at the same point as you right now....surgery, radiation or what?
Mine is causing cushing's disease for the second time.
I'm confused, mad that this returned and mad at all this uncertainty that doctors have had a hard time figuring things out this time, my cushing's is cyclic this time around which made it harder to clearly identify, of course I knew it since I first felt the symptoms returning....except doctors didn't believe me until recently and finally things are getting done. But until NOW that other hormones other than the cortisol and ACTH are high...do things need to get bad before somebody listens to our symptoms?

I'm glad that finally things are moving towards the "right" direction but it's frustrating that things had to get bad enough for my opinion to be heard.

I know what you mean about not knowing what the right choice is between surgery or gamma....I've been thinking about the same thing. I guess I'm just scared of doing a second surgery because the neurosurgeon here did not seem to optimistic of the outcome...neither is my endocrinologist. But I will be referred to Dr. Laws in Virginia or another neuro in Massachusetts for a second surgical opinion.
