I hope you don't feel that way too. I, myself, am really sensitive about giving out medical advice besides "see your doctor"... interestingly because when I saw Dr. Blevins a few years ago for a consult, he had a talk with me about the support work I do on line. He basically told me if someone asked me about... and he gave an example... what would my response be? Well, I told him. He told me.. no. He said that I am a patient and I cannot assume medical libility and that the correct thing is to direct someone to talk to their doctor. Other than that, unless if I have a personal experience to offer, I will direct to published material. The responses are not meant to make someone feel stupid, but to keep me from giving out stupid opinions that could hurt someone. ![]() I agree, he does have a laid back personna, and for some, it is a comfortable personna, while for others, it is too casual. The only suggestion I can make is to clarify things with your doctors - ask questions and don't let them go until you get all of your answers. I am sorry that you were given the unpleasant news that your tumor has grown. You aren't doing anything wrong, you just want answers and you are scared. It is perfectly normal. I am scared too. |
