New Message on Pituitary Chat visit to dentist Reply   Reply to Sender   Recommend Message 4 in Discussion From: JoDi Hi Deanie   I, too, had my tumor removed and am on replacement prednisone and levoxyl.  You did not mention if you take replacement thyroid but I assume you do as that is the first hormone to go.  Replacement thyroid medication can have a reaction with the ephinephrine (sp) which the dentist gives in the novacaine which can cause rapid heartbeat and sweating and anxiety.  You need to ask for the novacaine without it.  The only difference is the numbness does not last as long which is a good thing as far as I can see cuz I hate feeling numb for hours after dental work.    Joelle View other groups in this category.
