How much testotorone to take

Dear Damian, My name is Kevin and I have taken multiple forms of testosterone over the years. After my diagnosis with hypopituitarism my doctor at the time prescribed testosterone ethanate which was administered every two weeks by injection. For a long time I took it by injection. However there was a problem with the injection. When I got the shot I was fine for about a week, and then I would start to sweat like crazy up until my next shot. Then my doctor suggested I switch to the patch, I hated the patch, it would never stay on. I am a chef and am very active at work and it would constantly fall off. For a while I decided to stop taking the testosterone all together because it just pretty much pissed me off that I had to take it at all. But then I told my brother and it became a big family thing, and I decided to go back to the doctor. Then he switched me to the gel pack. which for me has been the least bothersome. All I do is rub it on like lotion in the morning. I still sweat a lot but I guess that is not bad for not having a nonfunctioning ptuitary gland. Good luck Kevin |
