I do wish you would not state "God is, does, knows" etc etc etc. I think you should say "I BELIEVE God is, does, knows" etc etc. You are entitled to your beliefs and I am happy you have them as they certainly seem to comfort you. However you nor anyone else has any proof that God is a good friend to anyone but you. Some of us [me for one] don't believe God is a good parent at all - his rules are impossible to understand and very cruel. He is like the parent who says "because I said so!!!". I have felt this way since I worked at a hospital for Sick Children - no kind God would do such things to helpless little innocent children. Or to innocent and well meaning adults for that matter. If you want to believe there is a God and he is good it is fine with me but please don't present him as a fact - he is a belief and many good people do not believe. We have that right! |
