Hi Tammy,
I know you deleted your message, but I did want to respond . I didn't want you to think that noone cared.

As a Cushings patient who just had surgery, my post op numbers didn't completely go to the zeros that the doctors really like to see, so I get to still 'stay in the land of OZ' as my friend jokingly reminds me . I heard from some of the doctors what my options were should I have a recurrence.

I think that it is a good idea to learn from your doctors - even if you have to go outside to get another opinions. You need to know what your options are. It sounds like you have a tumor that likes to grow back. Some surgeons advocate surgical removal as a first line of treatment for these kinds of tumors, but even in the hands of a top neurosurgeon, what do these experts say when it is the third or forth time?  When do they start thinking about YOU and not thinking about a data point in the graphic curve? Are one of the different drugs an option?  Will any of them keep the tumor from growing?  What are the different radiation options and what is the long term success rate of the options and which one would they recommend for your tumor type? Why and why not?

I don't know what the next steps are for you either, but I wanted to post that I did read your post, and I care about you, and I wanted to let you know that I support you in your quest for answers! I hope you have confidence in the days to come.  Ask lots of questions and in the days ahead, try to make good informed decisions.

Take care,
Minnie
