Hi Shell, Wanted to answer your question-the contrast is pretty immediate. It is actually best to have the MRI as soon as the contrast is administered. My fun lil tech team took 45 min to administer the contrast, but when they finally got it in, I was back in the machine immediately. Glad to hear that you're getting a second opinion with Dr Swearingen. He will read your MRIs right in front of you. Who else are you seeing at MGH? Glad you're also having the visual fields testing-are you seeing a neuro-ophth? You definitely should if your nerve is pale. Take care. I'll be praying you receive a diagnosis soon.
