So, QT, it is well published that some antidepressents, specifically SSRI's can increase prolactin. It is also well published that prolactinoma patients suffer from depression, irritablility, and mood swings. The modest increases of prolactin from SSRI's in hyperprolactinemic patients who are on antidepressents who are also on dopamine therapy are closely monitored by their endocrinologists.
 
I encourage all pituitary patients to discuss with their doctors, also with their mental health professionals, about how anti-depressent medications can influence testing and their treatment approach. Don't just stop your meds without medical supervision.
 
QT, I have seen your postings before, and I don't think you are a pituitary patient. Please take caution when providing opinions to pituitary patients re: their care.
