Yes, I've read the same about TSH not being a valid indicator when the pit's involved. This is a problem that has plagued me for months.... my doctor still continues to use that as the "gold standard" for whether my I'm ill. Unfortunately, no one checked my T4 or T3 uptake prior to beginning HRT so I have no comparison (I did, however, have a ton of horrible symptoms - and still do). MGH here I come!!!
