Hi Kitten,
Yes, I am still here. I know it is frightening to deal with
these issues, but you have one thing in your favor right now.
Your tumor is very small. Mine was 2 cm. and was causing more
problems due to the size. My suggestion to you is this- first
and foremost, find yourself an experienced neurosurgeon and
endocrinologist in pituitary problems. That is so important.
Since your tumor is small, you have better choices. Do you know
if it is non-functioning or secreting? That also makes a
difference as to the treatment for it. If your surgeon decides
to remove the tumor, the smaller the tumor the better the chance
of removal of the whole thing. Mine was not able to be totally
removed so I still experience problems. From what I have seen
from other posts, you should feel better if the whole tumor is
removed, not worse. Decision making is not easy, but for your
sake, educate yourself as much as possible and don't be afraid
to ask questions. If you are not comfortable with a doctor,
change. I did and it was the best thing I did. Please do not
hesitate to ask me anything you might want to know and please
keep me posted.
Regards,
