Many of us have been where you are now. If you are worried that the original tumor was cancerous be assured that that would be VERY unusual. The vast majority of these tumors are beign - just a mass in the wrong place. I know the feeling of not keeping regular appointments for a serious problem then putting it off further (just making things worse) because you are worried about what people will think about putting it off in the first place. It gets to be a vicious cycle - at some point you just have to break out of the cycle. I did and the doctors did not chide me. It is not unusual for your hormones to be out of wack after the neurosurgeons play ping-pong with your pituitary gland during surgery. Your case needs to be managed by an endocrinologist who is familar with pituitary disorders. I see someone at a pituitary center who relays information to a local endocrinologist. So long distance is a possibility if you cannot find someone locally. Now pick-up the phone and call - get the ball rolling.
