Thank you for your replies, I also found the research interesting. I have known about the use of gliadel or BCNU wafers for primary brain tumors for years, but never knew there were trials for pituitary tumor patients. Their trial study was very small-I would be very curious about long term hormonal loss due to the extended-release drug implanted in the pituitary gland. I would think it would have the same long-term effects of radiation. All the study apparently is concerned about is growth of the tumor, not the long-term effects. How are you doing, Jerry? How are you, LosNaz? How are you feeling post-op? I pray your recovery is going well. Thank you for telling me about the iMRI machine being down, Jerry. I unfortunately forgot to ask about it last week. I am looking at August. Are you planning on going back to MGH for your post-op MRI? Who do you follow up with (neuroendo)? I'll be praying that you have great post-op MRIs with no signs of the tumor. How are your hormones? Take care. Meri |
