I don't know what you should do regarding the metformin passing through your system-you need to speak with your doctor about that. Regarding taking metformin (are you taking it to treat PCOS or diabetes?), every doctor has a different opinion about the use of metformin when ttc. I personally have a friend who has been diagnosed with PCOS and was placed on metformin to become pregnant and was kept on it 3 months after becoming pregnant. Her doctor wanted to keep her on it as long as possible. Sadly, she miscarried. I have read a lot about metformin and what it does to the hormone system and I personally disagree with staying on the metformin during pregnancy just because of the affects it has on the baby.
