Judy, I also have had significant increases in my wieght since my first surgery in December of 2002. I also describe myself as just very uncomfortable all over. Technically I still have acromegaly since my IGF1 levels are still in the abnormal range. I underwent proton radiation last summer, and have been taking somavert and sandostatin injections. I am hypothyroid, and PanHypopit. The doctors keep telling me that my weight is just a result of imbalance in calorie intake and energy expenditure, but somehow it just doesn't seem right because I eat SO healthy. I have gained almost 70 pounds since this time last year. As far as Panhypopituitarism, it means that there is no functioning pituitary tissue left ( I beleive), or at least that you're not producing the hormones that you should be. Are you taking cortisol? My weight really started to increase after I began cortisol replacement. Hang in there. My weight is starting to come off gradually again, so maybe yours will too. Mark |
