My daughter who is now 11, has had NCAH/Prec. Puberty since the age of 4, has been taking Ped. Lupron injection once a month. along with Cortef daily to assist with her adrenal problem. I was reading that a sign that one is getting too much cortef is a moon shaped face or puffiness.. that is her. I am having a difficult time with her doctor's lately, ..> They are focused on her weight, which is an issue, but she's fighting a losing battle, i think she is getting too much cortef causing her to gain weight, for a short time she lost about 18 pounds, but now she gained, and she doesn't overeat that is the weird part, I want to have her taken off the Ped. Lupron , since her bone age hasn't changed over the past few years and its finally almost where it should be, i think her bone age is at 12 and she will be 12 in April.. I think her body needs to start her "cycle" and hopefully her weight will drop.. has anyone else had these problems, or if anyone has an opinion good or bad, i'm willing to hear it.. she is soooo moody and miserable at times... |
