Dostinex did not work for me. 
 
Also, lactation is not a good indicator for whether or not the drug is working.  Perhaps you could suggest monthly blood draws for the prolactin levels.  If your level has not dropped in one month then up the dose.  If it has not dropped the next month then see if you dr. will up the dose. 
 
Dopamine inhibitors work in about 92% of patients with prolactinomas.  For the other 8%, surgery is probably the best option.
 
I was in the 8% and had surgery to remove the tumor.  Within 24 hours of surgery, my prolactin level dropped to low end of normal.  I did not stop lactating for about 3-4 weeks.
