Hi All,

Thanks so much for your prayers and support as I headed to my gamma knife appointment on the 14th.  Well, it is over now and it was a very long and painful experience.  The sedative they gave me did nothing or very little.  I had to have two vicodin after the placement of the frame and another when it was removed.  I have a somewhat big head so, for the MRI and the fitting before, I had my nose completely squished to my face.  Thank goodness I didn't have to wear that extended frame part for the gamma treatment.  That part took 2 hours and the most pain I had was my back and right shoulder.  I made it through and everyone was so completely wonderful to me.

I was given a gecko pin before I went home and the place all around was themed like geckos.  I found out that it is because the place is called the Gamma Knife Center of Oregon or GKCO, gecko...lol  Kinda cool cuz I used to collect geckos a few years ago.

I saw a new endo the day before that specializes in pituitary problems and so on and she is so thorough and highly reccommended by my other docs and nurses.  The nurse at the gamma center is one of her patients also.  She spoke very highly of her and I felt so good about that.

So, the top of my head is still numb and still have some swelling.  I feel like I have itchies on my head, but when I go to scratch I can't feel anything.  Guess that is normal though...lol

Again, thanks to everyone who prayed and showed your support.

God bless and hugs,

Judy
