There is a  small chance that it may control the gh overproduction. For those of you with acromegaly, my situation it not textbook, so please don't relate my situation to yours. Up until the latest round of tests my gh was going up and my IGF-1 was going down. Now I have been on the Dostinex almost 8 months and my gh went down and my IGF-1 went up. Usually on Dostinex you lose weight. I have never had a weight problem till this year. My weight went up close to 30 pounds. Yikes! In the last six weeks I have lost 6 pounds, YEA! So it is still a goofy situation. I still have the emotional roller coaster going on. No, they haven't found the tumor yet. My liver is enlarged slightly but functioning prefectly.
