I know that you posted this several months ago but hopefully someone else can benefit from it. I found out in 1999 that I had a pituitary tumor and had surgery. My wife was pregnant with twins at the time. My fertility was fine when they found the tumor, however my testosterone level was only 90 and my prolactin level was 2400. I had my fertility checked a few months before they found the tumor and my fertility was on the normal to high range.
After I had surgery and started testosterone injections, my sperm count dropped to zero. No one told me the side effects from test. injections. Taking testosterone results in your testicles shrinking over time since your body does not need to produce the hormone on its own. Your probably have a fertility issue from the effects.
I was able to find a good urologist who put me on HCG and HMG injections to bring back my sperm count so that we could have 2 more kids. If insurance will pay for it, then it is a good option. If you have to pay for them yourself, it is probably not practical because it is expensive.
I had another surgery in 2003 to remvoe some of the regrowth. I have been on synthoid, testosterone and dostinex since 1999. I have also started taking a depression medication recently. I found out through research that depression is common for people with pituitary tumors. It makes sense considering the role that hormones play in your body.
The high blood pression and anxity could be related to your weight and activity level. I used to have borderline high blood pressure and anxity and fatigue before I had the tumor. After my first surgery, I stopped leading a completely sedentary life and started exercising. It keeps my weight, stress, blood pressure and energy level in balance. Anyone who thinks that exercise is not important or is not something that you can do. I was never an exerciser before 1999 but now I have really learned to enjoy it and the benefits are essential to someone with a pituitary tumor to keep your body in balance.
