Hi Keri, I definitely understand you wanting to get rid of the pain and blood loss. When I was given the option for hysterectomy, I was all for it. After I researched it a bit, I decided that I better wait until after my pit tumor was removed to see if that was the cause for all my rep problems. I have had irregular menses and pain for 9 years (since the start of my pit tumor symptoms.) Oddly, I had clock-work menses (with severe pain) for 8 years before that. I was diagnosed with PCOS, cysts, and fibroids when I was 24, and probable endo at 25, and now I am 27. I was told that the only way I have a chance of getting pregnant is IVF treatments. My rep endo wanted to perform lap surgery several times, but I opted to "watch and wait"...and then they burst/imploded. I had to have USs every two weeks for 6 months last year to check on the growth of the cysts. What fun that was! Anyways, I wanted to tell you that I do understand your desire to get rid of all the pain and blood loss. I can also understand your nervousness about life "after." I will be praying that they can balance your hormones so you will feel even better. I will be praying that your obgyn is able to save your last ovary, if at all possible. Please let me know how your surgery goes. Take care. You're in my prayers. Meri |
