I too have the bumbs on my head from the V.P. shunts. I hope I'm not wrong to do so, but I've convinced my young nephews that Uncle Mike has horns, and they only come out late at night :- ).
Fortunately, none of my scars bother me very much. I had a few operations this past year for a v.p. shunt revision, so I inquired of my neurosurgeon to put a zipper in, so it would be easier for him! I don't know if he was ready for someone with my kind of sense of humor. 23 years of dealing with the issues from a pituatary
tumor left me with my own unique sense of humor.
