Anxiety and pituitary tumors?

Hi everyone-
Just a bit about my situation: I am a 34 year old female and have been on Dostinex for about 6 months. My Prolactin went from 455 to 20, and then to 1 in a very short time, and my tumor shrunk from 2.5cm to 1.3cm in about 3 months. So, all in all I have been responding very well, until recently.

I just began having horrible anxiety attacks all of a sudden! I couldn't get out of bed, had no appetite, felt like my heart was jumping out of my chest! And a few times in the past I got light headed and felt like I would pass out when I was just out doing my daily activities. It really makes you feel physically ill.

Saw my GP today and he gave me Xanax, and it has helped me so much!! I have never had to take a drug of this type before. I was just wondering if anyone else out there started to experience anxiety or depression since being diagnosed with pituitary disorders? I spoke to my Endo, and he said my anxiety should not be from my prolactinoma or the Dostinex, and told me to just relax! Thank God for my GP, who could see what a state I was in and was able to help me.

Thanks!
