I am seeing a neurosurgeon that specializes in Pit. tumors, actually one of his specialties. My tumor is different as it was on the stalk, with some of the abnormal tissue traveling down the back area of the pit. gland. Some/most of the abnormal tissue was taken (I guess what one would call resected) and looked at by a pathologist who's diagnosis was that of an ectopic tumor. I too worked out and was in good shape and just started to gain weight like crazy this summer. it was all over, not specifically in the stomach area. After surgery or maybe due to GH therapy kicking in I sort of deflated. During the last few months I'd become what you could call swollen to the point that it hurt. I don't have the Cushing features but from what I am learning, that means nothing. I don't have any of the symptoms and I actually feel better than before surgery. When all the other 24hr & saliva tests were showing "all's well" I was feeling like hell. Why do the doctors do so much dancing around there hormonal issues, it is really frustrating, and trying to nail this disorder would send any sane person completely insane.  Anyway sorry to bog you down :) Have a merry christmas and be well.
