Hi Living Hope. Your story has inspired me to keep the faith and I just had to reply. I'm awaiting news from my neurosurgeon this week about whether I will be going in for surgery. Have been on bromocriptine for 6 months. My prolactin went from 1155 to 114, to 75. My dosage had been increased steadily from 2.5mgs and I'm now taking 20mgs a day. Despite the increase my prolactin started rising again to 81 and is now 103.3. I'm petrified of surgery but after reading your story it doesn't seem so bad now. You have been through far worse and still remain positive, so I can definitely do the same. As an aside - you guys mentioned looking much younger than your age. I am 26, but still get told I look 15. I am extremely short (1.47m). In fact my mum teaches 9 year olds and many of them are taller than me! The strange thing is my growth hormone test was normal. My family is quite short all round, but I am probably the worst. Could somebody please email me about the possibility of having normal babies when taking Dostinex? I really want kids within the next few years! Thanks. |
