I was diagnosed with acromegaly four years ago next month... I started my Sandostatin injections in August of the same year and after a little over a year the levels had still not responded so my endo ADDED the Somavert. I still take both medications daily but now my levels are completely within the normal range, or at least they were at my last run of tests.
For me the Somavert controlled the levels and the Sandostatin controls they symptoms... It's different for everyone, but I think you'll find the Somavert is very beneficial anyhow it was for me. I was so nervous about having to mix it myself but that soon became old hat and now it's just part of the daily routine...
Hope things go well for you!
