Oh wow Gloria, you aren't just a kiddin' :) I can see my knuckles, my shoes fit (that was one of the most fun things since I'd been wearing nothing but flip-flops and loosely laced up running shoes), you can see my eyes when I smile, I no longer wake up with numb hands, I think I actually sleep all the way through the night, my heart is not racing and bp is down, my ears aren't ringing as much, my eyes are not bugging me, my neck only hurts sometimes, no more night sweats, people only stare at me when I have mustard on my face. :)
So far the only residual effects are hair loss due to surgery stress (I think), thyroid being slightly messed up, a bit of acne/hirsuitism left over, swelling before my period, joint destruction (knees swell with exercise, neck hurts some still), my hands, feet, shoulders and nose are bigger and I think my "normal" weight is probably up 10-15 lbs., plus just the general paranoia that the thing is growing back (oh no! i'm puffing up again, i know it!-- stuff like that).
Glad to hear about your 4.5 years acro-free!!
