Reply   Reply to Sender   Recommend Message 6 in Discussion From: txmom89 When my late husband was battling his cancer (brain tumors), at MD Anderson, he always had the Closed MRI's.  He was very claustrophobic and always had to be sedated.  We questioned about him getting an Open MRI and we were told that an Open MRI doesn't give as much of a defined picture for some things like, Brain tumors.  It was always best to get a Closed MRI.  This was told to us by Dr. Ian McCutcheon (neurosurgeon), at MD Anderson.  Hope this helps!      View other groups in this category.
