Wow- sounds like you have another tough descision- yuck- sorry to hear that. Doc told me he wasn't sure he got all my tumor either (But the portion of mine he thought he mighta missed was in the sinus cavity, not wrapped around the caroitid or anything) & My follow up MRI's didn't show anythign either- but as you know, small tumors or remnants don't show up well- so I know how you're feeling about not knowing what is going on & finding that the MRI's don't show anything- not easy not knowing.. Sorry you have to go through all this- Frustrating when some of us have to go through so much (I myself just got back from stomach surgery for Crohn's disease & my surgery might not have been succesful & I might need to have another one to unblock things- 5 days out of hospital- had to be readmitted in ER room, but I didn't have to have a second one- Docs are "waiting and seeing") Anyways, I couldn't even have my Endo tests because of the pressing Crohn's problems- so now, when I recover enough (Providing I don't need another surgery) then I get to go through all the lovely endo tests again- yuck. Hang in there- I know it seems like it will never end, but there ARE good times along with the bad & it sounds like you have the constitution to withstand (Even though I know you'd rather not have to). I've come real close to giving up before (Mainly because I got REAL sick and was hallucinating & felt there was no hope- I freaked out), but thankfully I regained my senses once the fevers broke & even though things are still crappy, I do look forward to better times & try to remember that God saw David through when he was attacked by lions and bears- this too shall pass. |
