If not, I would find a center where this is the special interest of the endocrinologist. I see 2 endocrinologists. One at a major pituitary center who lists acromegaly as one of his interests and a local endocrinologist who has only seen 3 patients with acromegaly in his entire career (2 of the patients were cured by surgery). The local guy goes along with what the specialist thinks is necessary. The local guy had not even heard of somavert. It is interesting to see the difference between the two in terms of experience and knowledge re: acromegaly. View other groups in this category.
