Hello., I have had a pituitay tumor removed on march 16th. The opperation was a complete sucess so far with realy no major problems to date. The issue is that I have had numerous blood work ups by my Endo; and all seam to be within range to date. my question is that for the last ten weeks I have been on 25 miligrams of cortef daily. I have had a couple of minor incedents with excess thirst however it has passed. has anyone had trouble with Cortef with regards to headaches, weight gain and or sleeplessness? I do not want to complain to my Endo; but he seams to be so busy with more severe patients i can't even get him to return my calls but he is known to be the best here in cincinnati. his nurse keeps telling me thing look good but i get no results. i am wondering if when io start to come off the cortef will the problems then come up. I have looked at some of the test results and they are very close to being totaly within range with exception to a 1.0 testoserone level. you all have been a great support group for me when I read your issues, and I hope that all of you get the support i have recieved. I just hope the cortef is not a false hope to a underlying problem. I have a slight residual of about 5 percent of the tumor that needs to be treated later in August with a Gama Knife treatment, if that works out well this could be a good news event. thanks in advance for your responce.
