A neurologist told me years ago that my symptoms were all in my head. When I asked him why my legs were so sore and always in spasm, he replied "everyone gets that". My general practitioner also told me that I was ill because of trauma in my childhood. Last year, my family told me that they believed that there was nothing wrong with me, and that I was mentally ill and telling lies. They also told me that they believed I was "abusing pain-killers" I have to tell you, I have never felt so hurt and so powerless in all of my life. To feel so ill and so wretched, and to be struggling every day with such pain and discomfort, to have lost my job and be living on benefits - and then to be told by my family that this was all because I was mentally ill - I will never get over it. A few weeks ago I was diagnosed with hypopituitarism, and told that all of my symptoms were related to my failing pituitary. I would advise you to keep searching for answers and - if needs be - get a second opinion on your diagnosis. Good luck!![]() Lots of Love Maz |
