Hi Cat, Officially, synthetic growth hormone is called "somatropin." There are a number of drug companies producing somatropin for the US market; here's a link to a list of them, from the Human Growth Foundation: Each of these drug companies calls its product by a different brand name (Humatrope, Nutropin, etc) and some of them package it differently (in injection pens instead of vials, for instance) -- but they are all somatropin. Also, fyi, your insurance company may be okay with one brand name / manufacturer but not another -- so it's best to use the generic, "somatropin" name if you're checking their formulary to see if it's covered under your plan.
